IF Magazine has announced that the Hollywood blockbuster Pacific Rim : Maelstrom will be filming here in Sydney from November. This is awesome news for the local industry and will no doubt bring more work for actors and even more productions to Sydney.
If you’ve ever wondered about appearing in films like this, you should have a look at how it all works.
This is the first of two major films we were expecting to start production here in Sydney. This one is the sequel to a huge hollywood blockbuster. That’s the only clue I can give due to strict confidentiality agreements. While the go-see is not for any particular role, it is the way to impress the casting consultant and director of the movie. Do your best guys.
For anyone who is hoping to be picked for this film, please be patient. If you are on our books, we will be sure to put you forward if you fit the brief. We won’t know the details of all the roles that they are casting for for some time yet. If you are thinking about joining our agency, now is a pretty good time. There’s the opportunity with this production and another blockbuster expected really soon.
With Jackie Chan performing an exciting stunt on the Opera House this week, Bleeding Steel is making headlines. Already we have sent almost 100 people on set with more expected. Click through the link below to see some more pics of the stunt sequence.
At 62, Jackie Chan is still keen to do his own stunts — such as appearing to jump off the Sydney Opera House.
MCTV had about a dozen actors on Hacksaw ridge who were on set regularly from October 2015 through to January 2016. We also had a bunch of other extras who were featured less frequently. It was a great opportunity for everyone involved and you can see how great the trailer is. Can’t wait to see this one when it comes out!
Production has started on the new Jackie Chan movie Bleeding Steel. We had a couple of huge go sees for this movie and now people are being sent on set daily. If you came to one of our go sees and haven’t been picked yet, don’t worry production continues for months and we are expecting lot’s of people to be heading on set.
If you missed our go sees it might not be too late for this movie, either way you might want to come and chat to us about all the productions we are working on and how you could get involved in the next big thing to hit Sydney.
With Ridley Scott finishing filming, the Rush Hour star arrives with a big Chinese film.
In case you hadn’t heard, Jackie Chan is filming his latest movie Bleeding Steel in Sydney. We’ve had loads of people in our offices today for a “Go See” for the new production. A “Go See” is a bit different from an audition. It’s normally not for any particular role, it’s just for the casting consultants to get a feel for the different talent and what roles they might be a fit for. The ones who are successful may be selected directly or asked to audition for specific roles. Getting to work with Jackie Chan on his new movie will be a buzz.
We have been submitting hundreds of people for a new Jackie Chan film that will be shooting in Sydney and China soon. Jackie Chan has been a long time supporter of Australia having lived in Canberra himself as a young lad. So great to see him bring another production down under.
Jackie Chan has a new production Skiptrace just about to hit our screens too. You can see the official trailer here:
There’s been an exciting lead up to production on Dance Academy the Movie. With MCTV submitting a number of extreme ballerinas a couple of months back and now shooting has finally begun. Just this week we had about 20 people on set in a very glamorous scene, there was no need for ballet skills for those 20 though. There should be much more coming through over the next few months. If you want to find out more about the series, you can have a look at the article linked below.
