Bankstown the new Hollywood of Sydney

November 27, 2015/in Acting and Extras Work in Sydney, TV Series /by Sudsy

It might be a bit of an exaggeration, but it is interesting to see how many productions have been filming in Bankstown lately (see the source below).

MCTV talent have been working most recently on the new series of Janet King, but were also featured in Mad Max and the new Peter Brock telemovie.

The truth is, there’s a Film and TV production boom across the whole of Sydney and Bankstown might be getting a little more than their fair share.

Getting Paid to Watch TV

November 10, 2015/in Acting and Extras Work in Sydney, Paid Audience, TV Series /by Sudsy

Several times each year we receive requests for live studio audience members for brand new television series. It doesn’t take any particular skill, just availability. It can be great fun but usually you are prevented from telling people about the show before it goes to air. It really is that simple to get paid while watching TV. Just last week we sent a ton of people to be paid audience members for a new ABC production.

MCTV Extras working on Here Come The Habibs

November 2, 2015/in Acting and Extras Work in Sydney, TV Series /by Sudsy

Here Come the Habib’s is coming soon. This month MCTV extras will be working on this new situation comedy about a family who moved first from Lebanon to Australia and then from Lakemba to Vaucluse. It’s by the same guys behind The Moodys so it should be a good laugh.

MCTV talent have worked on just about every TV series that is produced in Sydney. As you can imagine, there are a good variety of people required for these productions and yet there’s no experience required. We are always looking for people from a range of ethnic backgrounds, ages and a variety of looks to suit productions such as this.

It’s a second migration for the Habib family, first it was Lebanon to Australia, now Lakemba to Vaucluse. But not everyone is happy to see them, and soon the Habibs find themselves in conflict with their new next door neighbours.

I signed up with MCTV yesterday and they applied me for 5 jobs already, one of which was successful. So excited to be back in business after long break. Looking forward working with you guys!

Dragana Gambiroza-Lazic

I’ve been with MCTV for a few years now and found them wonderful. I’ve had a much better experience than with my last agency and am particularly impressed by their management of my daughter through Joey’s

Elizabeth Bouris

Within my first month, I’ve been considered 3 times, got an audition for a TVC, and then a call back. And even a job offer with a leading Bank.
I signed my children with the agency & while I was at the office, Paul gave us a casting for the kids the same afternoon.

M.C.T.V has been very good to me for over three years now! I do appreciate their efforts in finding me work in four major motion pictures and other jobs
