Top of the Lake Season 2 Shooting has Begun

February 24, 2016/in TV Series /by Sudsy

We are now regularly submitting talent to Top of the Lake Season 2 now that shooting has begun. I just want them to finish filming as soon as possible so I can see the new series. The suspense is killing me.

More people submitted for A Place To Call Home Season 4

February 18, 2016/in Acting and Extras Work in Sydney, TV Series /by Sudsy

Production is continuing for the fourth series of A Place to Call Home and MCTV has been submitting more talent for what must be the final stages of production. MCTV people have been on set as far back as March last year and I know there were some huge fans of the show that had an opportunity to be part of the production.

MCTV “criminals” playing their part

February 16, 2016/in TV Series /by Sudsy

Of course, we’re not talking about real criminals here. MCTV talent are often asked to help with reenactments for shows like A Current Affair and Deadly Women. The requests we receive are quite amusing as you may be able to imagine. For these productions we really never know what kind of person we are going to need next. Often truth is stranger than fiction.

MCTV talent filming second season of 800 Words

February 16, 2016/in Acting and Extras Work in Sydney, TV Series /by Sudsy

800 words is a joint effort between Channel 7 and South Pacific Pictures. The show is largely shot in New Zealand, but MCTV talent were on hand for some scenes being shot in Sydney. Season 2 hasn’t finished production yet, so who knows we might get another call for talent. Fingers Crossed!

Without warning, George Turner quits his job as a popular 800 word columnist for a top selling Sydney newspaper. Over the internet he buys a house on an impulse in a remote New Zealand seaside town.

Over a million viewers tuned in to the first episode last night. Seems like a pretty positive reception which could mean even more productions are filmed in Sydney in the coming year.

We are always looking for different faces, shapes, ethnicities and skills to fill the wide and varied roles needed by all the productions filming here in Sydney.

February 3, 2016/in Acting and Extras Work in Sydney, TV Series /by Sudsy

So excited that a new series of Top of the Lake has begun production. Even more excited that this season will be shot in and around Sydney. The last season was awesome. The whole team did an amazing job and we are so proud to be a part of it this time around.

Last year came the exciting news that “Top Of The Lake,” Jane Campion’s terrific TV series, wouldn’t just be a one-off, but would return for a new season

Featured Role on Soul Mates

February 1, 2016/in Acting and Extras Work in Sydney, TV Series /by Sudsy

Congratulations to Marley Hayward for landing a featured role on season 2 of Soul Mates. We have also just had word that there will be more background and extras roles coming soon.

I’m a big fan of these guys, they had me busting my guts with laughter many times. So happy it’s been signed for another season.

If you’ve had just about enough of hipsters then you’ll probably appreciate this recent clip by the team behind Soul Mates.

Soul Mates has fun with big life questions as the twin souls of a pair of Bondi Hipsters appear throughout history and the future in a fresh blend of sketch comedy with a narrative arc.

Over 30 MCTV People Worked on Here Come the Habibs

January 12, 2016/in Acting and Extras Work in Sydney, TV Series /by Sudsy

MCTV talent had a ball working on this production and were even happier to have a little Christmas bonus in their bank account for the work they did.

This new series seems to be causing quite a lot of controversy on social media even before it has aired. As always there’s a variety of opinion on the Internet, some people are offended and others are in stitches of laughter. I guess we will all have to wait to see.

Netflix to double original output content in 2016

December 17, 2015/in Acting and Extras Work in Sydney, TV Series /by Sudsy

Streaming services are taking on traditional media giants and it’s only good news for the Film and TV Industry. With more and more productions being commissioned to cater for the increasingly diverse tastes of a global audience.

It’s happening here in Australia too, with streaming service Stan filming two new series Wolf Creek and No Activity. No Activity is streaming now on Stan and the producers have received interest from companies wanting to stream it overseas too. I personally loved The Moody’s and this one looks just as good.

Rake popular in the UK and US too

December 15, 2015/in Acting and Extras Work in Sydney, TV Series /by Sudsy

MCTV talent have been shooting season 4 of Rake along with Cleaver Greene (Richard Roxburgh). Rake is one of the ABC’s most successful dramas.

It’s so great to see that Netflix in the US picked up the show and that it is currently the highest rated courtroom drama on Netflix. It’s a hint of a new golden age of TV with unprecedented access to global markets available to Australian producers.

I signed up with MCTV yesterday and they applied me for 5 jobs already, one of which was successful. So excited to be back in business after long break. Looking forward working with you guys!

Dragana Gambiroza-Lazic

I’ve been with MCTV for a few years now and found them wonderful. I’ve had a much better experience than with my last agency and am particularly impressed by their management of my daughter through Joey’s

Elizabeth Bouris

Within my first month, I’ve been considered 3 times, got an audition for a TVC, and then a call back. And even a job offer with a leading Bank.
I signed my children with the agency & while I was at the office, Paul gave us a casting for the kids the same afternoon.

M.C.T.V has been very good to me for over three years now! I do appreciate their efforts in finding me work in four major motion pictures and other jobs
