MCTV has been sending people to the new series of Top of the Lake since February and people were sent as recently as last week. In a sign that production may be wrapping up Nicole Kidman was recently seen leaving the set last Monday night. We’ve still got tons of work coming through and we are submitting our members photos every day. With all the support the Sydney industry is getting from government and new film production companies it looks like 2016 is going to continue to be a good year. We are still submitting people for Jackie Chan’s Bleeding Steel, Alien Covenant, The Alan Bond miniseries, commercials for KFC, Woolworths, Telstra and tons of others just in the past week.
We have been submitting people from all walks of life, nationalities and ages, in fact we have placed more people in Film and TV than any other agency in Sydney.

So many of our talent came back from this production saying what a fun time they had on set. Starting from 8:30pm on Monday night they will get their chance to see their work on the little/big screen.

Thanks in part to the great work from around eighty MCTV people, Cleverman has already been renewed for a second season. The reviews of the pilot episode are fantastic both locally and abroad. It’s so great to see these productions heading overseas too with it being shown on Sundance TV in the US and BBC Three in the UK.
ABC’s new indigenous superhero series is off to a flying start, with Cleverman already renewed for a second season after it premiered to rave reviews both at home and abroad.
We have been submitting hundreds of people for a new miniseries due to start filming in a couple of weeks. I can’t give you any clues about the subject matter other than what you might be able to pick up from this image. We expect that just like all theotehr films and miniseries we are working on at the moment there will be plenty of opportunity for people of all looks, ages and ethnic backgrounds.
MCTV has a long history of supplying talent for the TV Series Deadly Women. Produced here in Sydney but watched all over the world by viewers of the Discovery network, Deadly Women is a great success story for Australian Film and TV.
Last week we sent hundreds of people to the casting consultant for this series and we are happy to say that we already have some confirmed places. As further episodes of the series are filmed over the coming months we expect further confirmations to be coming through.

Hamish and Andy are well known for their crazy antics. When one of our people was asked to be part of one of their stunts, there were equal parts excitement and trepidation. No need to worry though, we have been assured that everything will be done strictly according to the book.
THE season finale of Hamish And Andy’s Gap Year last night saw a stunt involving ants go painfully wrong, sending one half of the comedic duo to hospital.
