Can you believe that there are seven different TV series in production right now in Sydney? We have MCTV actors heading off for every single one that is currently filming. For the ones that are in pre-production, we are submitting and auditioning talent every day.
Season 11 of Deadly Women will be filming around Sydney over the next few months. In the past, this series has provided some very unusual opportunities for MCTV actors. Murderers, Victims, Detectives, Paramedics, Troopers and Priests are just some of the roles they get to play.

181 MCTV Background Actors worked on Pacific Rim 2 Uprising (aka Maelstrom) over the past 4 1/2 months. The film stars John Boyega, Scott Eastwood, Cailee Spaeny, Jing Tian, Wesley Wong, Lily Ji, Chen Zitong, Lan Yingying, Qian Yongchen, and Zhang Jin, with cameos by Xiao Yang and Korean actor Kim Jeong-Hoon. THE OTHER GUY is a funny, raw and poignant look at break-ups in the modern age and the harsh reality of recovering from heart break. For anyone who has enjoyed Triple J breakfast over the past few years, this is definitely worth a look.

Some very excited fans at the Dance Academy movie premiere last night just across the road from us here at MCTV. More than 20 MCTV background players appeared in the movie so they will all be watching carefully for their scenes. Congratulations to everyone!
Some very excited NRL fans headed off to a casting last week in full club colours for a new NRL commercial. If they get the gig, they will get paid very well. Fingers crossed.
Production for Pulse kicked off last week with MCTV background and featured actors heading on set for the first few scenes. The cast looks great with Claire van der Boom (Sisters of War), Andrea Demetriades (Janet King), Owen Teale (Game of Thrones), Liam McIntyre (Spartacus: War of the Damned), Susie Porter (Puberty Blues), Arka Das (Top of The Lake), Penny Cook (A Country Practice), Blessing Mokgohloa (Hunters), Pallavi Sharda (Lion) and Renee Lim (Please Like Me).
While many of you may be waiting for Season 4 of Chosen to air on FX Channel, the whole series is about to be remade here in Sydney. We are currently submitting people for the Mandarin remake of Chosen which is expected to shoot over several months.

Imagine being 12 years old and being picked to perform in the new Peter Rabbit live action movie. Then, after impressing the directors you are upgraded to a bit player. That’s the news one of our MCTV kids received this week. This is one of the first upgrades on this production with a couple of other MCTV actors already upgraded too.
