It’s that time of the year again. You know, the time when everything get’s a little crazier than usual. Thank goodness for the holidays. Our little MCTV elves have been working hard all year and have earned themselves a break. We won’t be gone for long though. Back to work on 2nd January. Looking forward to our new years resolutions already.
Great work from all the MCTV background actors on this years ALDI Christmas campaign. You can see just how many background people were needed for this commercial. It was literally a crowd. So proud to have supplied so many people for this outstanding commercial.
Some of our braver MCTV people were spotted walking around the city in nothing but their swimmers last Friday. It’s all part of the launch of Australia Swims which is a 9 day celebration of swimming involving funs events all around our nation. You can get involved at www.australiaswims.com.au.
Two great TV series are still shooting in Sydney. Rake is into it’s fifth season and Bite club is a brand new TV series based around Manly. We had over 150 people on the last series of Rake and loads of people have already been sent for the new season. This time around we have had a number of 50 worder roles for our more experienced actors along with loads of background and featured roles. We’ve been sending loads of people for Bite Club too, some even getting paid to surf around in the background.

Friday on My Mind follows a group of boys who met in the Villawood Migrant Hostel to later become the Easybeats and become an international music sensation.

Congratulations to Goodoil Films, CHE Proximity and all the MCTV people who appeared on one of the World’s most contagious campaigns for 2017. The campaign is not just a TV commercial but a web-series containing over 15 different episodes fed to internet users as they travel around the internet. Australians are making some great web series at the moment. A new Australian web series Bruce (trailer below) has picked up 5 awards at the prestigious International Academy of Web Television Awards in Los Angeles and the Raindance Film Festival in London last week . Over the past few weeks MCTV people have been heading on set of a new web series called “A Chance Affair”.

Over the weekend we had a bunch of people heading to a studio to shoot some new stock photography for Getty Images. Getty images is the World’s largest photo service with millions of photos from over a hundred years of photography.
