Sydney based production company Aquarius films “is bringing Winton’s story of secrets and revenge in a small fishing community to life”. The production will be shot in Western Australia but MCTV are submitting actors for roles to be shot over there later this year. See more details about the production on ABC news.
It’s so great to see one of home grown productions being promoted so heavily overseas. The trailer, billboards we have seen for Mr In-between look really promising. We can’t wait for this one, lucky it’s less than a month away now.
It was the red carpet premiere of Ladies in Black last night at the equally glamorous State Theatre. There are some pretty silly shots of Shane Jacobsen playing up to the cameras as well as a full red carpet gallery by au review.

The new Budget Direct campaign hit our screens last night and we have our hands on the full length supercut that has been sliced into various commercials. The new campaign replaces Captain Risky with The Sarge and cranks up the quality level with an award winning director working on the project. It’s a very well executed idea and a campaign that we are proud to be involved with. Well done to all the MCTV people who participated.
We love being involved in Uber campaigns, they are always so innovative. We had people in a great Uber campaign last year (shown below) and look forward to seeing the work from this year. I bet some of them even caught an Uber to get to the shoot 😄.
Plenty of castings and callbacks last week for the upcoming Bonds Christmas campaign. Toes, fingers and undies crossed for this one.

A handful of lucky MCTV people have made it to the casting stage of a new beer campaign. If they get the gig, they will be relaxing by the pool in Bali because this”Job” includes an all expenses paid trip to Bali. It’s a tough life for some is all I can say.
The awesome Sydney based VFX and animation team Animal Logic have launched Truant Pictures here in Sydney. They are already developing four different live action films with the first expected to start production in 2019. It’s too early to tell much more, but having another live action production house based in Sydney could hardly be a bad thing. The production’s they have in development so far are: The Haunting of Mary Todd with Zak Hilditch and Justin Monjo, Biohackers with Stephen McCallum and Michael Kratochvil, The Galvanist with Shayne Armstrong and S.P. Krause, and The Gooynboon with Jub Clerc.
