Trailer drops for I Am Woman

March 9, 2020/in Acting and Extras Work in Sydney /by MCTV

113 MCTV people worked on the powerful true story of Aussie star Helen Reddy and her fight to the top of the charts in the male dominated world of the Sixties. Arriving in the states as a single Mum at the age of 24 with $234 to her name, it’s a remarkable and inspirational tale.

Raechel playing Bluey in the streets of Sydney

March 3, 2020/in Acting and Extras Work in Sydney /by MCTV

It’s not often that you get a chance to play such a well loved character as Bluey. While it’s such an unusual opportunity, you can see how much fun it would be. So many kids expressing their joy. It’s all part of the lead-up to the Bluey’s Big Play which will be touring Australia really soon.

Great work “Glenn” on quirky Zip pay campaign

March 2, 2020/in Acting and Extras Work in Sydney /by MCTV

If you haven’t seen these quirky spots about “Owning it” now and paying later, you can check them all out on the Zip youtube channel. While I’m tempted to reveal “Glenn’s” real name I don’t want to spoil the illusion. What a fantastic and hilarious item to add to your showreel “Glenn” hope you really enjoyed it.

Clapperboard from the production of Roadside (2017)

We are super excited that production is about to commence on a Major Australian Film here in Sydney. This week we have go sees for a bunch of our talent who might fit what they are looking for. If you’ve been following our feeds you will know that there were three major films scheduled for this year. We are still in the midst of shooting the first one while production is ramping up on the second one and then before long, the new Marvel film Thor : Love and Thunder will be shooting here too.

Invisible Man in cinemas from Wednesday

February 24, 2020/in Acting and Extras Work in Sydney /by MCTV

If you haven’t seen the trailer for The Invisible Man, you should check it out below. MCTV had 90 people on set for the shooting including days where they turned Martin Place in to San Francisco for the day. You can see some of our extras crossing the road in one of the first scenes in the trailer. As a big fan of the original from 1933 I am really looking forward to seeing how the new plot twist plays out.

New TV Series Wakefield has started filming around Sydney

February 18, 2020/in Acting and Extras Work in Sydney /by MCTV

200212-Wakefield (1)

We’ve got a handful of people already lined up for the filming of Wakefield even though filming has only just commenced. Wakefield is an eight part series filming around Sydney in the Blue mountains and the Southern Highlands. It’s being made by the awesome team at Jungle Entertainment (Mr InBetween, No Activity, A Moody Christmas) with backing from the ABC and BBC.

“Wakefield explores the fine line between sanity and madness, with humour and heart.  Delving into the hidden world of the psychiatric hospital, this highly original series created by Kristen Dunphy, will be compelling television viewing”

The cast for the series is fantastic too and reads like a who’s who of Australian comedy. Here’s hoping there are some more roles for MCTV people in the Wakefield psychiatric hospital over the coming months. For more info see Screen Australia.

About 40 MCTV people were lucky enough to be picked to film a new 5 seconds of summer (5SOS) video clip over the weekend. 5 Seconds of Summer became the first Australian act to achieve three chart-toppers on the Billboard 200 album chart. Their most resent chart topping hit was Youngblood which has an awesome video clip that was shot in Tokyo (below). We are honoured that they chose Sydney to shoot their latest clip and our 40 MCTV background people had an awesome time too.

MCTV people as paid audience members

February 11, 2020/in Acting and Extras Work in Sydney /by MCTV

American Bandstand

This week we have a small number of people being paid to be the studio audience of a well known tv show. Like so many things in this industry we can’t reveal the name of the show but it’s fair to say that there are paid MCTV audience members in the studio audience of many popular TV series. For those lucky enough to get picked they get to see the filming in person and get paid for enjoying themselves.

Getting paid big $$$ for a Rollover

February 10, 2020/in Acting and Extras Work in Sydney /by MCTV

AsahiMasuda

Last year, our very own Masuda featured in this surreal Asahi Ad. It seems the ad has been very successful and it will run for another year. That’s great news for Masuda because he received an additional payment for no additional work. The great thing is, the payment is almost as much as the initial payment. It’s through rollovers and usage rights that you can reach astounding levels of pay for a single day’s work. I think everyone can agree that it is a very special ad and Masuda deserves congratulations for his role in it.

Back to the Rafters started shooting in Sydney

February 4, 2020/in Acting and Extras Work in Sydney /by MCTV

We have sent the first of our background extras on set for the shooting of Amazon Studios’ Packed to the Rafters reboot. Rebecca Gibney has posted a very cute photo of herself and Jessica Marais who played Mother and Daughter in the original series that ran for 5 series. MCTV had hundreds of people in the original series and we hope for great opportunities for our background extras in the new series too.

I signed up with MCTV yesterday and they applied me for 5 jobs already, one of which was successful. So excited to be back in business after long break. Looking forward working with you guys!

Dragana Gambiroza-Lazic

I’ve been with MCTV for a few years now and found them wonderful. I’ve had a much better experience than with my last agency and am particularly impressed by their management of my daughter through Joey’s

Elizabeth Bouris

Within my first month, I’ve been considered 3 times, got an audition for a TVC, and then a call back. And even a job offer with a leading Bank.
I signed my children with the agency & while I was at the office, Paul gave us a casting for the kids the same afternoon.

See Myshell

M.C.T.V has been very good to me for over three years now! I do appreciate their efforts in finding me work in four major motion pictures and other jobs
