More Drama in 2021

December 4, 2020/in Acting and Extras Work in Sydney /by MCTV

Despite the dramas of 2020, the local film industry has been strengthening due to funding injections, demand for content and the safety of Australia as a location. More productions look to be on their way to Australia and Sydney with Foxtel announcing 3 dramas will be in production locally next year.

The latest announcement is for a new 10 part local drama series The Twelve, set around a murder jury based on a Belgian series of the same name. The Twelve will look to continue the tradition of crime based Aussie dramas such as Wentworth which finishes with the current season.

Shooting for The Twelve is expected to begin mid 2021.

SONY DSC

Did you know that some of MCTV’s biggest jobs have been providing audiences for live TV show tapings including The Masked Singer and The Voice? We have recently been submitting for an American music quiz show. Name that Tune will be filmed in Australia, with American contestants currently living here. The show is being filmed under strict COVID protocols and joins the growing list of film and TV projects relocating to Australia for safety reasons. This one hour show is a revival of a popular 1950s series, which asked contestants to correctly identify songs being played by an on-stage orchestra or band.

Audience members get a sneak peek at the action and hosts, American actress Jane Krakowski and musician Randy Jackson. They can cheer and clap, but mustn’t spoil the fun. The show is set to air on FOX the US in 2021.

I’ve been with MCTV for a few years now and found them wonderful. I’ve had a much better experience than with my last agency and am particularly impressed by their management of my daughter through Joey’s

Within my first month, I’ve been considered 3 times, got an audition for a TVC, and then a call back. And even a job offer with a leading Bank.

M.C.T.V has been very good to me for over three years now! I do appreciate their efforts in finding me work in four major motion pictures and other jobs
