Most years we are called upon to supply talent for the various skits and other productions that go along with The Footy Show. The people who are selected are lucky enough to have a giggle and get paid too. You can see that the team doesn’t take themselves (or others) too seriously so it’s always a great gig.
We’ve had people up after midnight shooting something new for Warner Bros. We can’t give away any secrets about what the production is for but everyone who is working on it is very excited.
Over the last couple of weeks MCTV people have been shooting a new production for a revolutionary new cancer treatment. There has been a big fight to allow these drugs in Australia and from the article below, they will change many lives.
Christmas 2012 was meant to be Ron Walker’s last. Rather than accept defeat, the prominent businessman flew to the US to join the trial of a drug that has cleared him of cancer. Now he is hell-bent on making that drug available in Australia.

Sooo much fun and getting paid for it. That’s the way we like to roll and MCTV. Working on Film and TV is normally pretty fun, but add Wet’n’Wild into the mix and you have a crazy fun combination. Our talent only had to make sure they were having fun.
Wet’n’Wild Sydney is now open with over 40 slides and attractions including adrenalin pumping action on some of the tallest and fastest water rides in the world.

With production well underway now MCTV is sending talent on a weekly basis for the new series. Last week we had to get people to take photographs of themselves in singlets. What is going to be next? Can’t wait for the new series to come out I’m sure it will be as awesomely wrong as the last one.
Last week MCTV talent were off to the airport for a new Qantas commercial. I am still so fond of the old campaign “I still call Australia Home”, maybe this one will be just as iconic.
Hundreds of MCTV talent were asked to take a photo of their hands last week. From time to time our bookers get asked for hand models and this was another case with people being paid very handsomely for showing off their hands.
The Superwog is a growing phenomenon with a massive online following . One of our MCTV people recently helped out with one of their growing collection of skits.

While the odds are pretty long for a best picture win, the chances of further accolades are pretty high. Already the film has a very impressive list of awards to be proud of. And to think that the movie almost didn’t happen.
As with almost every production filmed here in Sydney, MCTV people were on set and a big part of the action. Heavy costumes and long hours meant this one was almost as gruelling as the apocalyptic world they inhabited.
If some categories seem to be decided already, there will still be surprises at the 88th Academy Awards.

You’ve got to put your hands together for MCTV’s Human Carsounds Guy. You might have seen him on Australia’s got talent a few years ago. Now he is being paid to travel the world making his awesome sounds at car shows and other exhibitions. At MCTV we love helping people get paid for doing what they love in life. Well done!!
